Fire Doors are classed with a Fire Rating from 30 – 120 minutes:

  • FD30: 30-minute fire-resistance classification.
  • FD60: 60-minute fire-resistance classification.
  • FD90: 90-minute fire-resistance classification.
  • FD120: 120-minute fire-resistance classification.

These are tested fire-resistance classifications, not guaranteed evacuation times. The required specification depends on the building’s fire strategy and the requirements for the particular opening.
